“The Consumer Vending Experience - A
Coca-Cola Perspective”
John A. Turner, The Coca-Cola Company
Learn how vending card readers will play a
critical role in the future of vending for The Coca-Cola
Company! After providing a brief history of The Coca-Cola
Company, the Bottling System, and the role cold drink plays
around the World today, John Turner will discuss how Coca-Cola
takes a consumer-based look at innovation focusing on what the
consumer expects, what they think, and what they want. A
discussion will follow regarding how Coca-Cola is using consumer
expectations to advance products, equipment, packaging, and
technology in order to create consumer satisfaction. Discover
how Coca-Cola will utilize the vending card reader to enhance
consumer satisfaction while providing greater functionality for
vending operators and educational institutions alike.
John
Turner is Coca-Cola North America’s Group Director of Cold Drink
Business Development, responsible for equipment marketing for
all vending machines and coolers in North America. He leads
equipment sub-committees for The Coca-Cola Bottlers Association
and Coca-Cola North America, and has been with Coca-Cola over 20
years. John received his BA in business administration from
Furman University, and attended graduate school at Georgia
State.

Rich holds an MBA in Finance
and a Bachelors Degree in Management and Information Sciences
from Western Illinois University. His education was completed
after service in the United States Army, domestically and in
Viet Nam. Rich has worked at NAMA since 1988. He serves as
President of The Foundation of NAMA and is a member of its Board
of Directors. He also serves as an Officer and Director on the
Board of the Worldwide Vending Association. He received the 2002
Honorary Alumni of the Year award for The Hospitality School of
Business at Michigan State University. He is proud to be a NAMA
Certified Executive (NCE).
