Action Card

Since our start in 1995, The University of Alabama’s Action Card system has matured into a campus wide enterprise system that, today, is an integral part of the daily lives of our campus community processing annually 6 million transactions, $15.9 million in debit dollars and $5 million in meal plans.  We maintain 500+ campus readers, exchange data with 11 campus systems and have strengthened UA’s town and gown relationship by partnering for off-campus flex dollars acceptance.

In our development from a small backroom operation 11 years ago, to a campus wide enterprise system today, our strategy to utilize the system to benefit our community has remained consistent:

(1) launch revenue generators to balance academic applications

(2) search for cost savings and business efficiencies

(3) improve the student experience and provide strong customer service

(4) partner business and technology for success in fully utilizing and protecting system capabilities.

Our goal is to make the card system versatile, continually evolving, and consistently dependable to build customer trust knowing our customers must be able to use their card as expected at any moment of the day.  Action Card prides itself on being the “problem solver” for the campus by providing solutions for campus needs as they arise.
