The University of Chicago
seeks applications for the
position of
Manager, UChicago Dining
OneCard.
Reporting to the Executive
Director of UChicago Dining,
(which reports to the
Associate Vice President for
Campus and Student Life),
the
Manager, UChicago Dining
OneCard
is responsible for
the overall management of
the dining function of the
University’s Campus Card
Program to include
operational, fiscal and
personnel management
responsibilities.
The University of Chicago
seeks an energetic and
resourceful professional to
lead the UChicago Dining
OneCard operation. The CBORD
OneCard System is a
state-of-the-art platform
that allows students,
faculty, staff to access
information, facilities, and
services, and to make
purchases at a variety of
on-campus vendors. The
person in this position is
responsible for assisting
with developing policy and
procedures for system
operations, maintaining and
overseeing the continuing
operation of the dining
OneCard, Micros and other
related systems, serving as
the
functional or
application administrator,
recommending and
implementing system changes,
setting priorities,
performance monitoring,
developing plans for new
installations, enforcing
system security, systems
integration development,
working with management and
outside vendors to ensure
efficiency and currency of
the system, and researching
new and enhanced methods of
delivering services on
campus. This position
primarily works days M-F,
but there may be some
on-call evening and weekend
duties.
The
Manager, UChicago Dining
OneCard is a full-time
staff position responsible
for ensuring the readiness
of the ID card system for
daily dining service. The
Manager resolves problems
and adjusts departmental
activities in response to
the changing needs and
demands of the University
community, plans and handles
financial, technical,
administrative, and program
aspects of the University's
integrated card services for
all departments, students,
staff and faculty, is
responsible for the
oversight of all
departmental day-to-day
technology processes
(including oversight of all
departmental software and
hardware technology),
leadership of the campus One
Card Program and oversight
of the departmental web
presence and initiatives.
This staff member
coordinates the inventory
and requisition for all
equipment and technology,
oversees the One Card
Program and provides
supervision for day-to-day
software, hardware
and service delivery. The
Manager is a member of the
departmental management team
and provides project support
to the Associate Director
and Executive Director.
The
Manager, UChicago Dining
OneCard is responsible
for the overall management
of the dining function of
the University’s Campus Card
Program to include
operational, fiscal and
personnel management
responsibilities.
Significant
Responsibilities:
A.
Maintain ID card system and
card related networks.
B.
Maintain integrity of
financial information.
C.
Provide card services for
all dining venues across the
University campus.
D.
Market ID card services.
E.
Ongoing development and
updating of policies,
procedures and standards
related to the OneCard
Program.
Required Skills and
Abilities:
1.
The ability to analyze
problems and resources and
initiate programs designed
for improved productivity.
2.
The ability to communicate
effectively orally and in
writing.
3.
Strong organizational skills
and attention to detail.
4.
Must have strong computer
skills including
spreadsheets and database
applications and experience
with client/PC workstation
applications.
Qualifications:
1.
Must be familiar with campus
card systems.
2.
Higher education work
environment experience is
preferred.
3.
Flexibility in working
hours.
4.
Excellent customer service
skills.
This is a full-time
