IntelliStripe 65 Achieves EMVCo

MagTekŪ Inc, a global leader in
electronic payment technology, today
announced the recently updated
IntelliStripe 65 hybrid reader has
achieved EMVCo Type Approval for
Terminal Level 1, based on the
requirements stated in the EMV 4.0
Specifications.
The 3-track magnetic stripe reader
makes use of MagTek’s triple track
Delta ASIC to offer improved
magnetic card reading. It also reads
standard ISO smart cards plus a
variety of popular memory cards. New
design features include the
integration of a native USB
interface, as well as a traditional
RS-232 interface. In addition, the
I-65 reader includes a single SAM
(Security Access Module) socket.
The IntelliStripe 65 is designed for
self-service applications such as
vending machines, kiosks, and fuel
pumps.
