U.S. BANK PARTNERS WITH AUSTIN PEAY STATE UNIVERSITY
FOR ITS MULTI-USE CAMPUS IDENTIFICATION CARD

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.
(August 2, 2006)
Austin Peay State University (APSU) has chosen U.S. Bank as its campus bank card partner. U.S. Bank will provide the banking functionality for the school’s multi-use identification card, called the Govs Card, and will operate two ATMs on campus.

This new partnership includes a variety of optional U.S. Bank financial products and services including checking accounts with no minimum balance and no monthly maintenance fee for students, faculty and staff.

The Govs Card provides official campus identification and a variety of conveniences including use of the student recreation center, fitness center and vending machines, and admittance to residence halls for more than 9,700 APSU students, faculty and staff. For cardholders who also choose to open an account at
U.S. Bank, the Govs Card will double as their ATM card on and off campus. Two new ATMs will be installed on the APSU campus in August of this year. One will be located at Morgan University Center and the other at the Harvill Building. A U.S. Bank branch is conveniently located at One Public Square in Clarksville just a few blocks from campus.

“We are excited about having the banking functionality available with the Govs Card,” said Mitch Robinson, vice president for finance and administration at APSU. “Having the latest technology available makes everyday life on campus for our faculty, staff and students safer and more convenient.”

“The U.S. Bank team is proud of this new partnership with APSU,” said Stephen Kemmer, community president for U.S. Bank. “In addition to providing the banking functionality for the Govs Card and having two ATMs on campus, we also look forward to meeting with students, faculty and staff who are interested in the products and services that are available from U.S. Bank.”

Joyce Norris, senior community banking officer for U.S. Bank, will conduct free financial literacy seminars on campus during the school year.

APSU is one of 30 colleges and universities that partners with U.S. Bank for a campus banking program.  Others include Northern Kentucky University, Morehead State University, University of Louisville, San Diego State University, Iowa State University, Northwest Missouri State University, Xavier University and Northwestern University.
