TCF Bank Branch Opens at MATC’s Downtown Milwaukee Campus

MILWAUKEE (Aug. 21, 2006) – TCF Bank has opened a new branch at the Downtown Milwaukee Campus of Milwaukee Area Technical College, serving students, employees and the public. Located at 700 W. State St., adjacent to the Student Union in the Student Center, this new full-service location expands on an existing partnership between MATC and TCF.  Branch hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays; and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.

“Our students lead very busy lives, often raising families and working multiple jobs and attending school. This branch offers a convenient chance to take care of their banking needs without adding a separate trip to the bank to their ‘to-do’ lists,” said Theresa Barry, MATC vice president of student services. “It also helps MATC students easily establish banking relationships with many free services.”

Students access their TCF accounts via their MATC campus cards, which double as ATM and debit cards for TCF customers. Similar benefits are available to MATC employees. TCF Bank annually donates $10,000 to the MATC Foundation for scholarships for City of Milwaukee students who demonstrate financial need. In addition, the bank offers financial education seminars at MATC.

“This new Student Center location adds to our extensive network of branches and ATMs throughout the Milwaukee area and will bring added convenience to the MATC students and employees,” said Jim Koon, TCF chief operating officer.

In addition to Milwaukee Area Technical College, TCF Bank partners with other universities and colleges with similar campus banking programs.
