CBORD^® introduces the CS Gold^® AdminPDA
Handheld device allows for campus-wide remote access control

Ithaca, New York: The CBORD Group, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of the CS Gold^® AdminPDA, a handheld access control terminal designed for use with CBORD’s CS Gold campus card system.

The AdminPDA works in conjunction with CS Access™, a module of CS Gold. It allows system administrators to use a wireless connection to view patron information and reader status, lock and unlock doors, and start and stop the CS Gold Transaction Processing Server remotely, all from a PDA. The device also has a patron lookup feature which allows users to see demographics and pictures of cardholders.

“The AdminPDA couples the power of CS Access with the remote flexibility of the Pocket PC,” says Bob Lemley, Manager of CS Gold Development at CBORD.  “Administrators can connect via Wi-Fi or cellular to monitor and control doors or view patron information. Plus, all this is fully encrypted, using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) on top of whatever network protection is in place.”
