ONITY BECOMES ONE OF FEW ELECTRONIC LOCKING SYSTEM PROVIDERS TO RECEIVE BHMA/ANSI CERTIFICATION IN 2006

ATLANTA November 16, 2006 – Onity Inc., the world’s leading provider of electronic locking systems, announces today its Integra3 product received A156.25 grade 1standard certification from the Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) / American National Standard Institute (ANSI), becoming one of the few companies this year to ensure their electrified locking devices are certified.  The Integra3 can be found in more than 160 colleges and universities throughout the United States, including, Carnegie Mellon University, Northeastern University and University of California, Los Angeles.

BHMA is commissioned by ANSI to indicate compliance with standards established for hardware manufacturers.  According to BHMA, certified products are tested on cycle, functional, strength, security and finish requirements, graded, proven to meet relevant standards and assured to do their job.
