PNC Bank Announces Extension of University Banking Contract with Duquesne University

PITTSBURGH, February 19, 2009 – PNC Bank, National Association, has announced the five-year renewal of its University Banking contract with Duquesne University, extending the contract established in 1996 through December, 2014.

This relationship provides more than 10,000 students, faculty and staff with a variety of PNC resources geared towards the college community, including banking options for students, faculty and employees, an on-campus presence, mobile banking and customized co-branded Web sites.

PNC customers from Duquesne can also register for free PNC AutoAlerts to monitor spending and account balances.  Students can receive one free incoming wire transfer per monthly statement cycle and one free courtesy overdraft fee waiver during the 12 months after account opening.

Duquesne customers also benefit from an electronic customer service center, located in the Student Union, featuring an on-site customer service representative and two advanced function ATMs - in addition to the four PNC ATMs located on-campus.

PNC provides even more convenience to students, faculty and staff with the option to link their Duquesne University identification card to their PNC accounts, adding ATM and purchasing functionality to the card used for daily campus-related purposes such as entering residence halls, checking out library books and accessing meal plans.  The co-branded PNC Bank Visa Check Card, emblazoned with an image of the campus fountain, can be used at ATMs and to make purchases anywhere Visa it accepted.
