PNC Announces New University Banking Contract with Marymount University

May 4, 2009 -- PNC Bank, N.A., announced today a new five-year contract with Marymount University to provide the university’s 3,600 students and more than 400 employees with convenient access to personal banking products and services.

The partnership enables members of the Marymount community to add banking functions to the Marymount multi-purpose ID card, called the BlueCard. Dr. Chris Domes, Marymount University’s vice president for Enrollment and Student Services, explains, “We are excited to be able to offer our students and employees convenient access to financial services and financial education through this new relationship with PNC. The bank offers a unique package of services for students that will help them become financially knowledgeable and responsible.”

This alliance school agreement is PNC’s first University Banking relationship in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. The agreement provides students, faculty, and staff with a variety of PNC resources geared toward the Marymount community, including:
·        Three on-campus PNC ATMs, including two located on the Main Campus and one at the university’s Ballston Center.
·        Financial education workshops held on the Marymount campus on basic banking, credit management, and identity protection. The classes will be conducted by a PNC representative and will take place at least four times a year.
·        PNC AutoAlerts via e-mail and/or text message to help monitor spending and account balances. In addition, for students, PNC will provide one free incoming wire transfer per monthly statement cycle and one free courtesy overdraft fee waiver during the 12 months after account opening.
·        Customized Web sites, hosted by PNC, where students and employees can complete account applications, manage their finances, and find financial and educational information.

"We are excited to introduce Marymount students and employees to PNC resources proven to help colleges and universities make banking easier and more convenient for their campus communities," says Elaine Shapiro, vice president and University Banking relationship manager with PNC. "With the added convenience of ATMs and PNC's online banking, Marymount customers will now be able to do much of their banking right on campus."
