U.S Bank
Partners with Six Colleges and Universities to Provide
Banking for Campus Identification Card
MINNEAPOLIS
(July 13,
2009) – Six colleges and
universities have
chosen U.S. Bank to offer enhanced banking services to
their students, faculty and staff through each school’s
campus identification (ID) card. The schools are
Benedictine
University in Lisle, Ill.; Carroll University in
Waukesha, Wis.; Chicago State University in Chicago;
Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kan.;
Milwaukee Area Technical College in Milwaukee, Wis. and
Waukesha County Technical College, in Pewaukee, Wis.
U.S. Bank will provide
the technology for the banking functionality for each
school’s identification card, turning the card into an
ATM and PIN-based debit card when linked to a U.S. Bank
checking account. All students, faculty and staff can
choose from a variety of U.S. Bank financial products
and services including checking accounts with no minimum
balance and no monthly maintenance fee.
In addition to the new
banking functionality, each school’s identification card
already offers a wide variety of services to their
students, faculty and staff, including acting as their
official campus identification card. For cardholders who
choose to open an account at U.S. Bank, these new
identification cards will double as their ATM card on
and off campus,
and can be used as a debit card at merchants in the
United States that accept Visa PIN debit.
“U.S. Bank is excited
about adding these six terrific new partners to our
Campus Banking program,” said Whitney Bright, general
manager for U.S. Bank’s Campus Banking division. “Our
local branch teams look forward to serving the students,
faculty and staff who are interested in the products and
services that are available from U.S. Bank.”
In addition to these six new schools, U.S. Bank partners
with more
than 40 colleges and universities to provide a campus
banking program. Others include San Diego State
University, Iowa State University, Xavier University and
Northwestern University.
