PNC Bank Announces Contracts with Three Universities:
Arcadia, Seton Hall and Robert Morris
PITTSBURGH, Aug. 3, 2009 -- PNC Bank, N.A., announced
today three alliance school relationships, emphasizing
money management and financial education for the college
community.
“With these contracts, we are able to provide the
students, faculty and staff of Arcadia, Seton Hall and
Robert Morris with user-friendly resources to help
manage their money and to get the education necessary to
become financially responsible,” said Nickolas Certo,
senior vice president for university and workplace
banking at PNC. “These agreements build on our proven
track record of helping more than 100 colleges and
universities to make banking easier and more convenient
for their campus communities.”
Arcadia University
in Glenside, Pa.: new five-year contract to provide the
university’s nearly 5,000 students and employees with a
variety of banking options, along with PNC-hosted
financial education workshops on the Arcadia campus
covering basic banking, credit management and identity
protection. PNC customers will also have the
opportunity to link the Arcadia University
identification card, the Knight Card, to their PNC
accounts, adding ATM and purchasing functionality to the
card used for daily campus-related activities. In
addition, students and employees will benefit from two
PNC ATMs and e-Refund through PNC’s Payment Portal, a
new on-line tool that administers payments and refunds
from the school directly to the student’s account for
faster delivery.
Seton Hall University
in South Orange, N.J.: five-year contract renewal,
adding a new electronic customer service center to the
personal banking options already offered to the
university’s more than 10,000 students, faculty and
staff. The service center, opening in the Bishop
Dougherty Center this fall, will feature an on-site
customer service representative and an advanced function
ATM – in addition to the PNC ATMs located on the main
campus and at the School of Law in Newark, NJ.
Robert Morris University
in Pittsburgh: five-year contract renewal to provide
convenient access to a variety of personal banking
options, along with three PNC ATMs located on the main
campus in Moon Township at the Nicholson Student Center,
the Downtown Pittsburgh Center and the Island Sports
Complex. A co-branded PNC Bank Visa Check Card,
emblazoned with an image of the Nicholson Student
Center, can be used at ATMs and to make purchases
anywhere VISA is accepted.
Students and employees at all three institutions have
access to PNC AutoAlerts via email and/or text messages
to help monitor spending and account balances. Students
can receive one free incoming wire transfer per monthly
statement cycle and one free courtesy overdraft waiver
in the first 12 months after account opening. PNC also
hosts customized, co-branded web sites for each school
where students can complete account applications, manage
their finances and find financial education information.
PNC has relationships with more than 100 schools across
a 14 state region, including 19 alliance schools that
have extensive relationships with PNC, including Penn
State University, Temple University and Marymount
University.
