CORNELIUS, NC – February 10,
2010 –
Loyola University Chicago
recently hosted ColorID’s
regional Campus

Seminar that took place on
the University’s Lake Shore
Campus. The seminar was held
at the Silver Level
Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design (LEED)
certified Richard J.
Klarchek Information Commons
building, a completely
digital research library.
The Information Commons
provided a beautiful
backdrop to presentations of
the latest in contactless
card technologies, logical
access and biometric
identification devices for
physical access. Products
included were iris cameras,
fingerprint readers, logical
access solutions,
identification printers and
even employee background
checking devices. The
attending schools and
ColorID also had active
discussions regarding the
integration of campus ID
cards within the local
transit fare collection
system. After lunch,
attendees were invited to
participate in a hands-on
demonstration of fingerprint
and iris identification
devices.
Danny Smith, Executive Vice
President of ColorID,
stated, “The people at
Loyola University Chicago
were such gracious hosts. We
are grateful to have been
able to bring together many
of the top Chicago area
schools to discuss current
trends in identification
security. The networking
opportunities for
representatives of the
schools attending were an
additional benefit that
enhanced the experience for
all”. Loyola University
Chicago ID Card Manager,
Kathleen Steinfels stated,
“We are happy to have been
part of ColorID’s seminar
and learning about the
cutting-edge new card
technologies.”
