CBORD Announces New
Point-of-Sale Video
Surveillance Solution
Leveraging Technology from
Agilence, MICROS, and NICE
February 23, 2011
Ithaca, New York—The CBORD
Group, Inc., the leading
provider of food and
nutrition management, campus
and cashless card systems,
and integrated security
solutions to healthcare
facilities and colleges and
universities, announced a
new addition to its cashless
payment solution—CBORD®
POS Video Security™.
CBORD POS Video Security is
a state-of-the-art video
surveillance system that
makes overseeing retail
point-of-sale transactions
easy. Users can look up
transactions in real time,
or look up specific
transactions after the fact.
The system enables managers
to search through
transactions using different
variables, then view receipt
details together with a
picture or video of the
transaction.
“The key advantages of our
new system is the ease of
use; the ability to look up
transactions after the fact;
and the capability to query
by suspicious transactions,
such as “No sale” or “Void”
transactions. Our customers
have clearly indicated a
need for this technology,
and we’re excited to bring
the right solution to the
market,” said Read
Winkelman, Vice President of
Sales, The CBORD Group.
"This collaboration with
Agilence, MICROS®,
NICE, and CBORD brings
together the industry
leaders in loss prevention,
point-of-sale, video
technology, and cashless
systems, creating the best
security system for the
healthcare sales
environment,” said Scott
Jerabek, CBORD Product
Manager. “CBORD POS Video
Security is easy to use, yet
extremely powerful. And, by
combining function with
simplicity, the system
allows new users to get up
and running quickly.”
Agilence’s patented
item-level synchronization
software pulls data directly
from the POS system and
marries the data with video
in real-time. “In addition
to detecting fraudulent
activities at the
point-of-sale, our
technology also allows CBORD
to identify operational and
training issues before they
lead to additional losses,”
said Derek Rodner, VP of
Product Strategy for
Agilence.
