Missouri Southern State University Introduces its First True One-Card Program with CBORD^®

New campus card program is prepared for the future with CS Gold^® and contactless iCLASS^® cards and readers.

Ithaca, New York—The CBORD Group, Inc., the leading provider of campus card and integrated security solutions to colleges and universities, is pleased to announce that Missouri Southern State University (MSSU), in Joplin, MO, has implemented the CS Gold campus card solution for its new campus-wide, one-card program. CS Gold is used to power door access, dining purchases, snack/beverage vending, printing, bookstore purchases, health center charges, recreation center privileges, and other transactions across campus.                                               

Previously, MSSU’s magnetic stripe ID card was used only for identification and dining purchases. With the implementation of CS Gold, the school opted for contactless HID iCLASS^® credentials, improving security and convenience with its “tap and go” functionality.

“We saw this as a chance to invest in exciting, emerging technologies which we expect to become even more pervasive in the coming years,” said Jeff Gibson, Director of Budgeting and Operations, MSSU. “We looked at multiple vendors, and we were most comfortable with the line of CBORD products available to us. Particularly after deciding to move forward with HID Global’s iCLASS technology, we felt CBORD could best meet our needs.”
