Cherry Using realtime’s bioLock to Protect SAP Transactions

Cherry Electrical Products (www.cherrycorp.com) announces the installation of Realtime’s bioLock™, the first and only SAP certified fingerprint access and function control solution to secure system administration and critical transactions.

Cherry is increasing the safety of the SAP infrastructure by combining its FingerTip ID Board G83-14100 and FingerTip ID Mouse M-4000 together with the biometric security software from Realtime. Cherry IT administrators log into the SAP system with their fingerprints, rather than passwords. Each person’s level of access can be set differently. Future plans are to secure all kinds of business-critical SAP transactions, including financial applications. The general aim is to maintain and increase the security and confidence of Cherry’s investors, partners and employees and to take proactive steps to fulfil upcoming requirements as specified by Sarbanes-Oxley.

"For us, the bioLock software from Realtime, together with our own Cherry FingerTIP ID Devices, are the best way to increase safety and affordability in the field of SAP administration," says Alois Eckert, Cherry Director — SAP organization.

Thomas Neudenberger, COO realtime North America adds: "It is exciting to see Cherry, the leader in biometric keyboards, committing to their own products and standing behind biometric security."

The FingerTip ID Board G83-14100 and the FingerTip ID Mouse M-4000 work with an integrated fingerprint sensor. Both devices are fully compatible with Realtime’s bioLock™, and offer a wide range of user options along with it.

INFO World media group has presented realtime the "INFO WORLD 100" award for innovative technology based upon the successful installation at Brevard County Florida. Realtime’s solution along with Cherry keyboards are in place for users to securely access their SAP system.
