ODU Chooses "SA Cash" to Expand its One-Card Program

Old Dominion University selected Student Advantage, Inc. to implement and manage their off-campus stored-value "cashless" program for more than 22,000 students, faculty, and staff at the school.

The program was launched in March 2003.

Adding the SA Cash function to the school’s IDs enables students, faculty, and staff at Old Dominion to buy food, necessities, and entertainment at off-campus businesses in Norfolk, Virginia. Before SA Cash, students at the school used their IDs for on-campus dining, bookstore, laundry, building access, parking, and vending machines.

"We’re confident that both the students of Old Dominion University and the local merchants in Norfolk will enjoy the benefits of the SA Cash Program," said Bob Olson, General Manager Auxiliary Services. "By extending the Monarch Plus program off-campus, we’re providing greater flexibility for our students and deepening our relationship with the city of Norfolk. It’s a win-win for all"
