Gonzaga chooses U.S. Bank

Gonzaga University has chosen U.S. Bank to be its bank partner for the school’s multi-use identification card.

The identification card allows Gonzaga’s 5,400 students and 800 faculty and staff members to use photocopy machines, check out resources from campus libraries, purchase meals without cash, and have dorm access. The new card can also be used as a U.S. Bank ATM card on and off campus and at many Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals in the United States starting August 2003.

"We are excited about the partnership between Gonzaga University and U.S. Bank because of the convenience it will provide our students, faculty, and staff," said Chuck Murphy, vice president of finance for Gonzaga University."

The Campusbank Card program is an extension of a long-standing relationship between
U.S. Bank and Gonzaga University," said Bob Wigren, president of U.S. Bank in Spokane/North Central Washington.

Gonzaga University is a private, four-year comprehensive university. It is owned and operated by the Society of Jesus, the Jesuit order of the Catholic Church. Gonzaga’s educational philosophy is based on the 450-year Ignatian model that aims to educate the whole person — mind, body and spirit — an integration of science and art, faith and reason, action and contemplation. At Gonzaga, "cura personalis," or care for the individual, is its guiding theme.
