PERSONA Unveils Smart Card Technology for its Standalone Lockset: An Intelligent Solution Gets Smarter

PERSONA, the Educational division of Timelox, the world’s leading provider of

unveils PERSONA TC smart card applications for improved security and overall
system and lockset capacity.
The
new locking solution is able to manage access privileges for an unlimited number
of users in a network containing tens of thousands of locks, all without any
hardwiring to a centralized computer system. Each lock has a battery-operated
computer that recognizes access privileges programmed into each card, making it
possible for each door to recognize thousands of access patterns.
PERSONA
TC was introduced July 18, 2002 at the ACUHO-I (Association for College and
University Housing Officers International) conference in Orlando. The enhanced
product offers the same strong and durable lockset as the previous PERSONA
device, but with added programming capabilities unmatched by any other
standalone lock designed for campus settings.
