CBORD Announces New Cashless Web Capabilities
The CBORD Group, Inc. has introduced a new online interface
to their popular Odyssey PCS card system. This new interface is to the web Value
Transfer System (webVTS) by JSA Technologies, which adds new features for CBORD
card users.
Now users can log on to a website to review up to a six month history of all
their card transactions. Current balances are also displayed in real time,
eliminating guesswork when going to use a card. Also with the online interface a
lost or stolen card can be immediately deactivated without having to make a
phone call. This gives cardholders protection even over vacation or weekend
periods, at all hours, when card management offices may be closed.
Perhaps the most useful feature of the webVTS interface
is the ability to add value to the card online with a credit card. When a
transaction is made this way, over the secure server, the credit is added to the
account in less than a minute for immediate use. Not only can the cardholder use
this feature, someone living across the country of the cardholder is able to log
on and add value to the account with his or her credit card. This feature is
extremely useful for students who need a little extra cash from home right away
to pay for school supplies or food. This brings the ease of use of the internet
to campus card systems and their customers.
