HID Creates New Position to Focus Exclusively on iCLASS 13.56 MHz Read/Write Contactless Technology
Making
access control more powerful and versatile, iCLASS
smart cards and readers offer enhanced security through encryption and mutual
authentication. The HID brand name, coupled with strong
interest in contactless smart cards, has resulted in significant interest in the
technology and product line. Many
projects have been specified with iCLASS
-- numerous installations
have been completed, and others are currently underway.
Focused
solely on HID’s iCLASS
product line, Mr. Cummings will provide technical training and support to
HID’s customers, and will oversee the implementation of iCLASS
business and marketing plans. In
addition, he will be responsible for providing MRP forecast data for all iCLASS
products, and will insure timely product shipments by interfacing with HID’s
operations and customer service teams.
“My
goal is to promote education in the security industry regarding the capabilities
and advantages of contactless smart card technology, while ensuring that HID and
iCLASS
are the first and most obvious choice for the access control professional,”
said Nathan.
Prior
to his promotion, Mr. Cummings was a product engineer for HID.
With ten years of experience in the security industry, he served as systems
manager for United Communications Center, Inc. (UCCI), and network operations
manager for Ademco/AlarmNet. He
will report to Jim St. Pierre, vice president of product management for HID.
