General Meters Corporation, manufacturer of the University One-Card System has announced the creation of 1 Card Advantage 

According to Leon S. Gottlieb Founder and CEO of General Meters Corporation, "1 Card Advantage has been designed to develop and enhance existing campus partnerships as well as provide a significant and consistent revenue stream to our University One-Card clients."

At no cost to the campus, General Meters card readers will clear transactions at both local and national merchants. Up to 50% of all off campus merchant transaction fees will be paid directly to the campus. Increased convenience and services will be provided to students, in addition to a myriad of loyalty and incentive marketing which merchants will be able to offer to students.  

Peter J. Adang of Sarasota Florida will head up the marketing effort. 

Adang confirms "the key features of 1 Card Advantage are an increased, and in many cases untapped revenue stream for the campus; increased convenience for students coupled with numerous opportunities for both local and national merchants."  Gottlieb adds, "We have listened to our clients and the off campus merchants and we have positively created a "Win -Win" program for all involved."
