NACCU
to provide CR80News as a benefit of membership in 2003
National
Association of Campus Card Users (NACCU) contracts with AVISIAN Inc.
Reston,
Virginia -- December 11, 2002: AVISIAN
Inc., publisher of CR80News, and the National Association of Campus Card Users
(NACCU) have signed an agreement to provide the publication to the association's
members as a part of their package of benefits.
Since
its premier issue in late 2001, CR80News has emerged as the leading source for
information on closed campus card systems and identification technologies.
The electronic newsletter already distributes to 5,000 subscribers in
higher education, corporate security departments, and the identification vendor
community. The addition of the 1200 NACCU member representatives further
increases CR80News' ability to help build the campus card market through quality
news and information.
NACCU
was established in 1993 to serve the growing higher education identification
card market. The Troy, Alabama-based nonprofit association has risen to meet the
needs of its constituents through information dissemination, educational
seminars, and expositions and conferences.
In its 10-year existence, NACCU has grown to serve a member base in
excess of 450 institutions and has expanded its focus to include card system
representatives from both K-12 schools and corporate campuses.
According
to Ron Pierce, Executive Director of NACCU, "the addition of CR80News to
our already strong list of member benefits makes NACCU membership an even better
value."
In
addition to the new publication, members receive the association's CardTalk
newsletter; reduced rates for educational seminars and events; access to the
organization's valuable listservs and web resources; and discounted admission to
the industry leading NACCU Annual Conference.
AVISIAN
Inc. publishes several other ID technology magazines and newsletters in addition
to CR80News. The company also
serves a range of federal government agencies, financial institutions, and
technology companies in the role of technology analysis and consultation.
According
to Jeff Staples, a founding partner of AVISIAN, " CR80News provides
unbiased, relevant content focused specifically on campus card technology. NACCU
is the premiere organization for educating, sharing ideas, and the fostering
growth in the campus card technology. Our cooperation is an ideal fit."
