Diebold and MICROS Together On Campus

Diebold, Incorporated recently announced a new combined effort with MICROS Systems to include MICROS terminals among the offerings of Diebold Card Systems. The MICROS Eclipse point-of-sale terminal running either 3700 or 9700 server platforms will be integrated into Diebold’s existing product line. Currently, Diebold Card Systems are employed around the country at more than 400 colleges, universities, and corporate campuses throughout the United States and Canada.

"MICROS is pleased to be providing both hardware and software for Diebold Card System installations throughout North America," said Dan Interlandi, executive vice president of the Americas for MICROS Systems. "Our Eclipse workstations are a top choice for high traffic point-of-sale applications with a compact design and easy-to-use touchscreen graphics. The advanced open architectural design allows customers to choose whichever of our powerful server platforms best meets their needs for day-to-day functionality and overall operations management."

With CS Gold™, the multi-purpose campus system developed by Diebold, colleges and universities can control costs, boost revenues and enhance the convenience and security of campus life. Students, faculty and staff can purchase books, buy a meal in the cafeteria, make photocopies, pay for parking and gain entry into the school’s facilities using a single card to debit their individual account.

"This arrangement with MICROS will greatly benefit our customers by offering them a proven, top-notch product, that can significantly enhance the user’s food service experience," Brad Stephenson, general manager, Diebold Card Systems stated.
