Opening - Manager, Business Operations

Under general supervision, the Manager supervises the day-to-day activities of support staff, managing the Campus Card and Customer Service units. Responsibilities include management of our merchandiser team and campus card staff in a combination of business operations such as finance and technical support of the CS Gold Card platform, network components and devices used across campus.

Specific duties include:

  • Managing the daily, weekly and monthly workflow/deliverables of the Financial and IT operations for the department
  • Assisting with maintaining the functionality of the Campus Card system, which is central to Dining Services meal plan sales and account reconciliation
  • Developing, managing, training and evaluating employee performance
  • Competing/reviewing P-Card and D-Card reconciliation; completing/reviewing journal entries; completing HR payroll and onboarding responsibilities for the department
  • Preparing and forecasting departmental reporting based on recommendations from the UMBC Community, Chartwell's or Campus Card leadership

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Management or an IT-related field
  • Two years of experience working in a college/university setting or large dining environment
  • General understanding of GAAP Accounting Principles
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of CSGold system management
