Opening - Physical Security Director
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Administration and Operations, this position directs all security management activities and policies for main and regional campuses related to safety cameras, access control, blue light phones, CEPTED programs, critical infrastructure protection, and additional safety/security programs. Provides guidance to the University on physical security matters and is responsible for managing various projects and vendor relationships. Responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure the safety of university facilities and personnel. Works closely with USF IT, Facilities, Law Enforcement and other university stakeholders. Ensures goals and objectives for the university and the department are communicated and achieved. Develops and maintains plans, policies and reports, and may represent the department on university, SUS or state committees. Assists in the preparation and administration of the security budget. This position is considered essential personnel.
