The Operations Manager for Security, Access and Inventory manages programs and oversees skilled and some journey-level trades staff in the maintenance and repair of university buildings and dining equipment. This position will focus emphasis on the electrical, access, security and lock and key systems in residence hall and dining center facilities. This position also oversees the Facilities Front Desk and Inventory as well as the After Hours Response Program for all facilities needs that come up when the Facilities Front Desk office is closed.

This position serves as a department contact on assigned in-house and contracted construction and remodels. Updates the Associate Director on the status of projects. Participates in project planning processes and facilitates scheduling and participant interfacing for projects under $150,000. Leads team responsible for developing project schedules, assists in the preparation of bid packages, obtains permits and schedules professional services and inspections related to assigned projects.

The purpose of this position is to provide quality, courteous, and timely facilities maintenance services to all internal and external customers. This position will ensure quality work at or above the industry standard and provide after-hour emergency response as needed to ensure business continuity. This position will estimate time, material, and resource needs to use in coordination of associated trades in performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure safe, secure, and sanitary living & dining facilities for UHDS students and staff.
