The State University of New York at Old Westbury is seeking a Chief Information Officer to lead the College's Information Technology Services unit. This is a full-time, 12-month, Management Confidential position.

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) serves as the senior executive officer responsible for providing leadership and management to the units of the Information Technology Services sub-division and is responsible for system-wide planning, management, security, and coordination of the technology resources of SUNY Old Westbury. The CIO represents the College in information technology-related matters with system and state agencies, corporate entities, and other institutions of higher education. The CIO serves as the major administrator for the Information Technology Services sub-division and is responsible for the management of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, learning management system, file server and networking infrastructure, application software development, information security, instructional technologies, technical training, computer installation and maintenance, user support services, the College's computer labs, and policy development regarding information services for students, faculty, and staff. The CIO oversees the review and analysis, coordination, and approval of computer-related purchases and upgrades and ensures that new applications and technologies are compatible with existing systems and are appropriately integrated into the College's enterprise architecture. The CIO provides leadership and supervision of staff, budget oversight and development, administrative and academic support, and strategic planning and implementation for the Information Technology Services sub-division.
