Opening - Associate IT Systems Analyst - Card Services, Office of Information Technology
This full-time position involves network management and system administration services for RebelCard, UNLV's official ID card, as well as support for other UNLV systems. The position is part of the Client Services group within the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and the incumbent will also join the RebelCard Services Team.
Responsibilities include understanding the network needs of RebelCard-specific devices like specialized printers, card readers, and door access controls. The incumbent will configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot these devices on the campus network. They will provide endpoint support and security for various devices on the UNLV Campus, including desktops, mobile devices, and tablets. This entails hardware troubleshooting, connectivity assessment, standard enforcement, computer setup and rebuilding, among other tasks. The incumbent will also assist in desktop computer security activities under the guidance of senior desktop specialists, and participate in tech-related projects.
The incumbent should have basic knowledge of desktop and mobile systems, operating systems, and technical documents, as well as fundamental troubleshooting skills for technical issues.
