Advertised Job Summary:

To provide technical leadership to include the creation and ongoing adaptation of IT strategy and the collaborative development and implementation of IT procedures/policies and the overall administration of the technical information systems for Business Affairs. This position will serve as the technical lead for large-scale capital projects, provide coordination of door/gate security system designs, implementations and specifications, and the change management between internal teams and external vendors. Will also be responsible for the management of Business Affairs’ technology assets, physical and virtual, both hardware and software, network and devices. Will also be responsible for support and coordination of designated technology needs for 200+ staff and contract affiliated employees in Business Affairs, and the design, installation and integration of door security systems for students, faculty and staff. This position is responsible for the annual procurement and coordination of hardware and servers and multiple software applications, as well as supervise 2-3 full time technicians and student employees. This position is designated as essential personnel during inclement/hazardous weather and other emergencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Systems, Business Administration or related field and 5 years’ experience managing the operation and installation of access control systems within a higher education setting; or equivalency.

Preferred Qualifications:

CBord strongly preferred; ability to set priorities and to work comfortably in a fast-paced, fluid, deadline-driven environment with multiple competing demands while providing accurate information and following through to completion of projects assigned; experience with Oracle SQL and SQL Developer and database administration; budget development and system auditing.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of communications or information systems and voice and data networking. Knowledge and technical expertise of network security and access control security. Knowledge of various software and their uses. Knowledge of computer system analysis, design, testing, debugging and maintenance techniques and practices. Ability to analyze data and provide solutions to complex problems. Good written skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people at every level and in every department are essential; and demonstrating initiative, creativity, and continuous performance improvement on a national scale.
