The Door Hardware and Electronics Technician provides skilled technical support for all UT Tyler and UT Health Science Center facilities by installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, replacing, and repairing a wide range of mechanical door systems and electronic access components. This includes but is not limited to door hardware, automatic door operators, electronic locks, card readers, access control devices, and related security systems. The technician ensures all door and access systems operate safely and securely. Perform or facilitate NFPA 80 Fire Door inspections.
