Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of university emergency alert and notification system hardware, card access-controlled doors and security cameras including daily systems checks, report analysis, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair. This includes camera/card access installations, hardware maintenance and false alarm troubleshooting. Work includes cCure card access-controlled doors and CCTV and license plate recognition (LPR) cameras. Perform minor card access and CCTV installations.

Develop and maintain an equipment readiness program for all alert and notification equipment, hardware and software within the Emergency Management Program's control to ensure operational readiness at all times. Conduct EOC readiness activities by supporting periodic checks of equipment to include but not limited to monitors, PCs, audio/visual, polycom, and their related cables, connectors, and power supplies, troubleshooting and reporting problems as necessary.

Assist with updates to current technologies for emergency notifications and other electronic communications, and implementation of emerging alerting technologies. Coordinate with departments (ITS, Facilities) and vendors as necessary to maintain and repair equipment and systems.

Assist with the preparation of proof of compliance documentation required to meet Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP) standards. Assist with activities for maintaining the University's designation as part of the National Weather Service's Storm Ready Program.

Serve as the EOC Communications Leader and liaison with technology staff and supporting satellite and emergency communication needs during emergencies, incidents, threats, or special events.

Equipment troubleshooting to minimize alarm events received by FSUPD. Processing FSUPD discrepancy reports. Maintain an inventory of parts and supplies. Provide input for annual budget submissions.

Support emergency management outreach and public education events. Participate in preparedness activities such as planning, training, and exercises.
