Opening - Electronics Specialist III

Under the supervision of and working with the Integrated Security Manager, this position is a key member of the department’s security team from both a technical and policy perspective. Duties include ensuring that access control systems are managed, maintained and kept current, providing training and end-user support for 30 access control clients’ stations, recommending access policy changes for users of access control and video monitoring systems for SAIT.

Additionally, this position is responsible for day to day access control service issues, addressing customer related access control requests, assisting with lock and locking plan troubleshooting, electronic and mechanical locksmith support, being a point of contact for contractors and project personnel in need of building access and project locking template administration, and serves as a backup system administrator for HDS’s IP Video, C-Cure and Salto systems managed and maintained by HDS IT. This includes 10,000 on-line and off-line electronic locks, 5,000 metal key locks, 450 IP cameras and 24 security database servers.
