1) Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Melissa Neidigh, NACCU President at 2:15 EST.
2) Approval of Minutes
NACCU Secretary, Jennifer McNeill, shared that the minutes for the 2021 Annual Meeting were included in a link in the Spring CARDtalk that was sent to all NACCU members. The minutes are also posted on the NACCU website. A motion was made by Ken Boyer, Mercer University to accept all the minutes as presented; Second by Melinda Bakken, UNC-Chapel Hill. The motion passed with no votes opposed and no abstentions.
3) NACCU President’s Report - Melissa Neidigh shared the President’s report
● Melissa shared comments on membership stating that membership had been growing well but NACCU has suffered some non-renewals due to COVID.
● Virtual Programs and Engagement Opportunities - NACCU introduced a number of virtual programs and had 2171 participants in webinars from May 2020 to April 2021. We had an average of 58 attendees per event. These types of virtual events will continue for next year.
● Benchmark Study - The board of directors allocated a budget for a benchmark study in 2021. 51% of campuses participated in this study - The information is shared in a session at the conference with a full report available later this summer.
● Standards and Guidelines Course (SAGS) - The SAGS is a tool for a comprehensive review for campus identification programs. The following schools have completed the SAGS and successfully assessed their campus card programs.

■ Samhurline Etienne, Palm Beach State College
■ Amy Fox, Florida State University

● NACCU Vendor Xchange - this now replaces the Corporate Profile and enables members to search the NACCU corporate listing based on a number of criteria.
● NACCU Corporate Exposure Opportunities - this was introduced as a way to provide content and gain exposure. NACCU hosted 24 virtual showcases in the past year with a total of 1431 attendees at these events. These events will continue this year.
● NACCU TV - This was a new virtual platform introduced this year. It housed educational pre-recorded videos for members to watch at their convenience. It has been a useful tool over the past year.
● High Impact Training - Another way NACCU has pivoted over the past year was the introduction of Pecha Kucha sessions last September. This has now transitioned to a quarterly series with a variety of topics. Members are encouraged to submit new ideas for these sessions
● Professional Certification for our Executive Director - Dawn Thomas earned eht Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation this year. Also noted is that Dawn has been selected to serve as the Chair of CHEMA in January 2022. Neidigh shared congratulations on both these achievements.
● Membership Rewards - program and the ongoing recruitment of new institutional and corporate members. This resulted in ending with 27 new institutional members, and 18 new corporate members.
● Committee changes - Neidigh updated on new strategic initiatives that are moving forward. The first is dividing the membership committee into 2 separate committees with a focus on engagement and recruitment. Some highlights of the ongoing work of these committees was shared.
● Data Summit - NACCU recognizes that dealing with data can be daunting but is an important part of decision making. New information on the details of the NACCU data summit will be shared soon.
● NACCU is now a member of the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS). The primary focus of CAS is to provide a forum for higher education organizations, to seek best practices and standards. Laurie Harris, Duke University serves as our NACCU representative alongside NACCU staff member Jorrun Liston.
4) Treasurer’s Report - Janet Rauhe from Elon University presented the Treasurer’s report.
NACCU Treasurer reported a summary of the comparative financial results for NACCU were posted in the spring edition of CARDtalk and were posted on the NACCU website in the Organization Documents under the About Us tab. There was a Net Asset decrease (related to COVID) of 26% and an overall 0.0012% decrease in Total Liabilities and Net Assess.
5) New business - Melissa Neidigh
In the Notice to Members of the 2021 Annual Business Meeting, there were no proposed corrections and/or changes to the corporation Bylaws.
6) Introduction of Board Members elected in the fall - Melissa Neidigh
Neidigh, NACCU President, reviewed results of the NACCU Board of Directors election that occurred in January for two open positions. A newly elected member who will serve her first three-year term to begin at this meeting was Kim Graham-Pfeffer, Emory University. Also re-elected to serve for a second term is Jennifer McNeill, University of Alberta. Congratulations extended to them both.
8) Confirmation of President-Elect - Jennifer McNeill
McNeill, Board Secretary shared that a new President-Elect needs to be confirmed during this meeting. The Board of Directors has proposed Richard Wynn from Georgia Southern University serve as President-Elect. A motion was made by Jay Bonney, Mercer University to accept the recommendation of the board for Richard Wynn to become the new NACCU President Elect for the 2021/2022 year; Second by Jessica Bender, Palm Beach State College. The motion passed with no votes opposed and no abstentions.
Richard Wynn has been confirmed as the 2021-22 President-Elect of NACCU.
9) Recognition of Retiring Board Member
Neidigh recognized out-going Board member David Anthony, outlining achievements during his tenure on the Board and thanked him for his service.
10) Presidential Transition - Neidigh
Neidigh introduced Deb Nightingale from Liberty University who will serve as NACCU President during the 2021-2022 term.
11) Adjournment - Deb Nightingale
Nightingale recognized Neidigh for the growth that has been nurtured during her tenure as president during a very challenging time. Nightingale asked for a motion to adjourn the 2021 Annual Business Meeting. A motion was made by Josh Bodnar, The Ohio State University to adjourn the meeting; Second by Nathan Gray, James Madison University. The motion passed with no votes opposed and no abstentions.
Nightingale adjourned the meeting at 3:00 EST
