Meet your NACCU Volunteers: Olivia Bedard

Your NACCU Volunteers,
Meet your NACCU Volunteers:
Olivia Bedard

This is the latest installment of the NACCU series highlighting our association volunteers. NACCU provides programs and services to our members, many which would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of our volunteer leaders. Volunteers, whether they are a committee member, a Board member, or an onsite volunteer at a conference, are all important in making NACCU volunteer-driven programs an exceptional experience for our card industry peers.

Campus Card Information

Name: Olivia Bedard

School: North Dakota State University

Volunteer Role: Engagement Committee

What is your role at your institution?

My title is IT Service Center Support Coordinator. I provide guidance and oversight in ID Card Services including printing and card access troubleshooting, and maintain finances for the unit. I also am a main point of contact for Records Management, and sometimes aid in the Software Licensing process.

Where was the first NACCU conference you attended?

The first NACCU event I attended in-person was NACCU Near You at the University of Minnesota. I have not yet attended an annual conference, but I am looking forward to attending the 2026 Conference in Covington!

What is your favo(u)rite thing about volunteering with your NACCU committee?

Being able to contribute back to the resources that I frequently use and create connections with other members. Coming from a smaller institution, it is always very eye-opening to learn from the experiences of other campuses.

What show are you "binge watching" right now?

Young Sheldon. I've already finished the series once, but it is my go-to.

What's your go-to coffee / tea order?

Always a caramel latte, iced in the summer and hot in the winter.

What's your favo(u)rite memory from when you were a student?

I sang in the Concert Choir for 4 years and met some of my best friends in that group.

What's one thing that would surprise people about you?

I started playing the ukulele around 4 or 5 years old, and I have collected many ukes, guitars, and mandolins in different sizes and materials.
