Talk about the history of your company.
The IRIS Companies is a family-owned identification and credentialing solutions provider that has been serving organizations nationwide since 1981. What began as an ID solutions focused business has grown alongside advances in security and access technology. Over the years, IRIS has continuously evolved to support both physical and digital credentials, while maintaining a strong commitment to customer service, reliability, and long-term partnerships.
What does your company do?
IRIS helps organizations design, implement, and support secure identification and access solutions. We serve as a one-stop resource for ID programs, offering both physical and mobile credentials that integrate with your existing access control systems. Our team is dedicated to helping customers select the right solutions based on their environment, goals, and future needs.
What products and services do you provide specifically to campus card operations?
IRIS supports campus card operations with ID card printers from top brands including Kanematsu, IDP, Zebra, HID Global, Evolis, Magicard, Matica, and Entrust, as well as printer supplies, physical credentials, badge holders and accessories, custom lanyards, visitor management, and mobile credential solutions. We also provide expert guidance, system compatibility support, and ongoing customer service to help campus card teams manage reliable and secure ID programs for students, faculty, and staff.
Is there a new product or service you want to tell us about?
IRIS has partnered with Soloinsight Inc. to bring CloudGate mobile credentials to our product line. CloudGate enables secure identity and access control for students, faculty, staff, visitors, vendors, and contractors. As a long-time provider of physical ID badges and campus card infrastructure, IRIS is uniquely positioned to help institutions implement mobile credentials while maintaining physical credentials to meet compliance, accessibility, and operational requirements. By offering both physical and mobile credential solutions, IRIS serves as a single, trusted partner for campuses looking to modernize access without compromising standards or continuity.
What are you hoping to gain from your NACCU membership?
