NACCU New Member Highlight:
Walk In IQ

In this latest installment of our New Member Highlight, we catch up with Edson D'Souza from new NACCU member Walk In IQ.
Talk about the history of your company.
Walk In IQ was born out of Goldfarb Properties, in New York. Goldfarb had many different access platforms across the North East and needed to find a way to unify all 7,000 units. In 2018, they began to look at ways to tie everything together through different vendors and realized they needed to build it themselves due to cost and compatibility. By 2023 every unit was on their new platform. Initially, they were all just for internal use, but in 2024, they began to get so many requests on the platform that they decided to move forward and go to market with Walk In IQ as a SaaS Platform. Now Walk In IQ is bringing the tools to others from self- touring, automating the move in and move out process, a mobile app and even the ability to fleet manage multiple thermostats —you can use them individually or together.
What does your company do?
We simplify your property wide access control with different modules depending on what is needed for your property. Walk In IQ is bringing the tools to others from self- touring, automating the move in and move out process, a mobile app and even the ability to fleet manage multiple thermostats.
What products and services do you provide specifically to campus card operations?
- Automation IQ is the backbone that connects your access platform with StarRez, Lucian, and Yardi PMS at a reasonable per-unit cost. It automates the entire move-in/move-out process to reduce operational costs and increase efficiency—no heavy lifting required.
- Self Tour IQ enables prospects to tour buildings independently. It includes background checks and has the Mobile SDK embedded directly into the app, so secure access is automated.
- Access IQ is a simple resident app that enhances the resident experience platform, which creates digital amenities and resident engagement. Automation IQ is required for this.
- Energy IQ fleet-manages multiple thermostats and creates floor and ceiling temperature settings if you are paying for the utilities. This allows you to have more control over the energy used, making your property more efficient and cost-effective. Automation IQ is required for this.
Is there a new product or service you want to tell us about?
We now have the ability to white label our app so you use our branding or we can use yours.
