  • Lead real-time threat assessments and manage processes to evaluate potential threats and acts of violence affecting the university community. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies and responses.
  • Create and manage educational programs on threat assessment, crisis intervention, de-escalation, and reporting for the university.
  • Oversee access control systems and conduct vulnerability analyses to enhance security protocols. Collaborate with stakeholders to address security concerns and integrate necessary support resources.
  • Assess risks and develop safety protocols in partnership with various departments to promote a secure environment for all community members.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for personal safety programs that align with organizational goals.
  • Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of security measures and adapt to evolving threats.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on projects involving physical security systems and manage urgent threat concerns by assessing risks and developing safety protocols.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with stakeholders for threat analysis, action planning, and preventative measures.
  • Apply Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) to reduce crime incidence and enhance campus safety and quality of life.
  • Administer surveys, threat assessments, and inspections for university facilities, including gap analysis and strategy development.
  • Participate in local, state, and federal advisory groups to stay informed on security-related developments and events.
