Phoenix, AZ – April 30, 2026 – NACCU is honored to recognize CoCo Dean, OneCard Specialist at the University of California, Irvine, as the recipient of the NACCU 2026 New Professional Award. Sebastien Dayer, CSO, from NACCU Pinnacle Sponsor Secanda, presented the award to CoCo during the Awards Luncheon at the NACCU 2026 Annual Conference in Covington, Kentucky on April 22, 2026..
The NACCU New Professional Award recognizes an individual with five or fewer years in the campus identification and transaction system profession who has made significant contributions to their institution, the industry and to the association during their relatively short time in their position.
Each year we see NACCU grow and change, with new professionals stepping into the world of higher education credentials. Emerging new professionals bring fresh ideas and new insights. The NACCU New Professional Award is presented annually to an individual who has made significant contributions to their institution, the industry and to the association within a relatively short period of time.
CoCo received the New Professional Award in recognition of her outstanding initiative and meaningful contributions to both NACCU and her university during her time working in the campus card industry.
She has been actively involved in NACCU through her participation in the Industry Essentials Institute and the Data Summit. She also served on the Engagement Committee before chairing it the following year, and has presented multiple times at NACCU conferences and webinars.
Her work reflects a strong commitment to connection, collaboration, and community. With a student-centered approach, CoCo listens and collaborates to improve the campus experience, fosters an inclusive and welcoming environment, supports fellow new professionals, and contributes to a culture of shared learning and encouragement.
