Joshua Bodnar Welcomed to New Role as NACCU Board President

Phoenix, AZ – April 30, 2026 – NACCU is honored to welcome Josh Bodnar to his new role as President of the NACCU Board of Directors. Josh was elected by NACCU membership to fill the role in 2025. His term as President began at the NACCU Annual Business Meeting on April 21, 2026, and he will serve through the NACCU 2027 Annual Business Meeting.
Josh Bodnar leads the BuckID team at The Ohio State University, which manages the identification card and transaction system serving more than 100,000 students, faculty, staff, and guests across six campuses. The BuckID Office produces more than 60,000 identification cards and badges each year, and its self operated merchant program is one of the largest campus card programs of its kind in the nation.
Josh has been involved in the campus card industry since 2011 and has served NACCU in a variety of leadership and volunteer roles, including Annual Conference Chair, member of the Professional Development Committee, and mentor in the Mentee/Mentor program. He has presented at NACCU and user group conferences on topics including card production security, system integration and automation, audit processes for door access, off campus merchant programs, and transitions in card production systems.
Before joining Ohio State’s Office of Student Life in 2019, Josh held roles at Youngstown State University and Ohio University, where he served as the founding Director of the One Card Office. A lifelong Ohioan, he earned a BS in Education from Youngstown State University and an M.Ed. in College Student Personnel and Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from Ohio University. Outside of NACCU, Josh has also served in several leadership roles with the Ohio College Personnel Association.
