Phoenix, AZ – April 30, 2026 – NACCU is proud to announce that Janet Rauhe, Director of Phoenix Card Services at Elon University, has been presented with the NACCU J. Paul Melanson Award. The award was presented by Sami Takieddine, Director of Partnerships with Visionary Sponsor, Atrium Campus, during the Awards Luncheon at the NACCU 2026 Annual Conference in Covington, Kentucky on April 22, 2026.
The J. Paul Melanson award is named in honor of one of the founders of NACCU. This premier award is given to members of the college and university community and campus card corporate members who have spurred the growth of the campus card industry, been pioneers in campus cards, significantly and freely helped NACCU members to implement or advance systems on their campuses, or been instrumental in the growth and stability of NACCU.
Janet Rauhe received the NACCU J. Paul Melanson Award in recognition of her extraordinary dedication to NACCU, her steady leadership, humility, and lasting service to the association.
A NACCU member for nearly three decades, Janet has been deeply engaged in the association’s work through committee service, conference support, mentoring, session moderation, and contributions to the professional growth of others across the industry. She has brought that same dedication to Elon University, where she developed and grew the campus card program from its initial implementation into a robust, multifaceted operation supporting thousands of cardholders, hundreds of readers, and a wide network of campus and community partners.
Janet is known as a trusted and thoughtful leader who listens closely, values the ideas and questions of others, and leads by example. She embodies the spirit of servant leadership, consistently putting service before self-interest and helping others grow and succeed.
Janet has also served NACCU as a member of the Board of Directors and ultimately as Board President. When leadership transitions required continuity, she stepped forward to serve a second year as president in accordance with NACCU bylaws, providing steady guidance during an important time for the association.
In recognition of her outstanding service and transformative contributions to the field, NACCU proudly presents the 2026 J. Paul Melanson Award to Janet Rauhe.
