Phoenix, AZ – April 30, 2026 – NACCU is proud to recognize David Anthony, Executive Director of Finance, and Chief Business Officer for the division of Student Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, as the recipient of the NACCU 2026 Distinguished Service Award. Rachael Sepcic, Chief Revenue Officer with NACCU Visionary Sponsor Illumia, presented the award to David at the Awards Luncheon during the NACCU 2026 Annual Conference in Covington, Kentucky on April 22, 2026.
The Distinguished Service Award is presented annually to an individual who has advanced the industry, exhibited entrepreneurial spirit, is an active member of NACCU, is actively involved in R&D, and who is active in the industry through serving on advisory boards and/or actively educating through presentations and sessions.
David Anthony received the 2026 NACCU Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his longtime service, leadership, and volunteer commitment to the association. A longtime NACCU member and seasoned volunteer, David played an important role in helping guide strategic financial decisions during the pandemic, a time when many professional associations faced significant challenges. His steadiness, foresight, and willingness to engage in difficult discussions helped NACCU maintain operational continuity, navigate disruption, and emerge positioned for long-term stability.
David is also known for his ability to explain complex financial concepts, strategies, and outcomes in ways that are accessible and empowering, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and rigor. A former member of the NACCU Board of Directors, he continues to serve the association as chair of NACCU’s Investment Committee.
