NACCU New Corporate Highlight: EntryReady
NACCU New Member Highlight:
EntryReady

In this latest installment of our New Member Highlight, we catch up with Ed Sullivan, Chief Strategy Officer, of new NACCU member, EntryReady
Talk about the history of your company.
EntryReady started in the hotel/hospitality industry, where our smart locks are deployed across major brands including Choice Hotels, Hyatt, Travel + Leisure, and others. We offer cost-effective locks with Apple and Google Wallet built right in. No extra software, no third-party middleware, no additional licensing.
Universities started noticing and coming to us about a year ago looking for a path to get wallet credentials on their residence hall doors. The technology was already proven at scale, and the pricing made the conversation possible. That's what brought us to NACCU.
What does your company do?
We manufacture WiFi 6 door locks for residence halls with native Apple Wallet and Google Wallet built into the hardware. Samsung Wallet coming soon. Battery powered, no wiring, no infrastructure overhaul. Online or offline configurations. Designed and developed in the USA at our Orlando, Florida headquarters. SOC 2 Type II certified.
Most universities we talk to have wanted to upgrade their residence hall doors from brass keys for years. The barrier has always been cost. Our quotes come in very competitively, which means schools that couldn't justify this project before are now able to get this into their budgets.
What products and services do you provide specifically to campus card operations?
Our focus is specifically on helping universities convert their residence hall doors from brass keys to digital credentials, so that students can use Apple and Google Wallet on their phones. We can work with your existing student ID provider, or as an Apple and Google partner and credential manager, we can provide credentials directly.
In addition to the door locks, we provide wall readers, elevator controls, and just about everything needed to operate a residence hall. And while we've been focused specifically on residence halls, our hardware can operate in other areas of campus as well.
Is there a new product or service you want to tell us about?
Samsung Wallet support is coming, completing native coverage across Apple, Google, and Samsung. Every student gets the same experience regardless of what device they carry.
For universities where supplier diversity is an important consideration, EntryReady is a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE). We're the only major access control manufacturer that can claim this status.
What are you hoping to gain from your NACCU membership?
We've been working with housing directors through ACUHO-I for the past year, and the same observation keeps coming up: upgrading residence hall doors doesn't happen without the card office at the table. That's why we joined NACCU.
We want to connect with card office professionals, understand how campuses are approaching mobile credentials, and share what we've learned deploying wallet-based access at scale in hospitality.
