Your NACCU Volunteers,

Meet Your NACCU Volunteers: Alicia Barnes

This is the latest installment of the NACCU series highlighting our association volunteers. NACCU provides programs and services to our members, many which would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of our volunteer leaders. Volunteers, whether they are a committee member, a Board member, or an onsite volunteer at a conference, are all important in making NACCU volunteer-driven programs an exceptional experience for our card industry peers. Campus Card Information:

What is your role at your institution?

I am the Assignment Administrator. My role grants me the opportunity to develop effective workflow processes for better customer experiences through ID production, access assignments, and door schedules.

Where was the first NACCU conference you attended?

My first NACCU conference was in Reno, Nevada in 2018 at NACCU's Silver Anniversary!

What is your favo(u)rite thing about volunteering with your NACCU committee?

My favorite thing about being a member of a NACCU committee is networking and the collaboration of ideas. Having a great go-to system to gain clarity, insight, and just wanting to make a difference are a few of my favorite things in volunteering.

What show are you binge-watching right now?

I am watching Ozark, again. I am preparing for season 3.

What is your go-to coffee / tea order?

Only when I have a nagging taste, I prefer Shaken Iced Passion Tea extra sweet.

What is your favo(u)rite memory from when you were a student?

I was an online student, so I will say the ability to do everything from home.

What is one thing that would surprise people about you?

I used to crochet when I was younger. I need to get back into the game.

What beach would you own and why?

I'm not a beach person; I am more of a cabin woman.
