In this latest installment of our New Member Highlight, we catch up with Kierra Beniefield with new NACCU member, Gallagher Security.

Talk about the history of your company.

Our story began in Hamilton, New Zealand in 1938 with a horse named Joe.
When Joe developed a habit of using a car as a scratching post, his owner, Bill Gallagher Senior, went searching for a solution. His answer was a clever electrical circuit that delivered a harmless but surprising shock whenever the horse leaned on the vehicle. The problem was solved, and in the process, the world’s first electric fence was born.

Eighty-five years later, we are still proudly headquartered in Hamilton, New Zealand. Today, our team of over 1,300 people worldwide work alongside customers, partners, and communities to fulfill our purpose: protecting what matters most through world-leading security solutions.

              What are you hoping to gain from your NACCU membership?

The NACCU membership gives us the opportunity to showcase our integrated access control, mobile credentialing, and visitor management solutions, while learning from peers and staying up to date on best practices in campus card programs.
