The Assistant Director of Texan Card reports directly to the Associate Director and plays a critical role in the daily operation and strategic management of the Texan Card system. Serving as the department’s subject matter expert, this position provides advanced technical knowledge of all software, hardware, and equipment associated with the Texan Card program.

The Assistant Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and prioritizing system maintenance activities, including hardware servicing, software upgrades, and routine troubleshooting. This role ensures rapid response to system faults and technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain consistent, reliable campus services. The position also supports operational decision‑making, contributes to process improvements, and ensures compliance with institutional standards. This role is designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) and must fulfill all associated responsibilities.
