Your NACCU Volunteers,

Meet Your NACCU Volunteers: Chasity Brown

This is the latest installment of the NACCU series highlighting our association volunteers. NACCU provides programs and services to our members, many which would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of our volunteer leaders. Volunteers, whether they are a committee member, a Board member, or an onsite volunteer at a conference, are all important in making NACCU volunteer-driven programs an exceptional experience for our card industry peers.

Where was the first NACCU conference you attended?

This year's conference in Austin, TX would have been my first NACCU conference. I was looking forward to meeting everyone.

What is your favo(u)rite thing about volunteering with your NACCU committee?

My favorite thing about volunteering with my NACCU committee is having the opportunity to meet new higher education professionals and discuss our challenges and opportunities. We all have similar stories; therefore, a solution or new idea is always a phone call/email away.

What show are you binge-watching right now?

I am currently watching Ozark and All American.

What is your go-to coffee / tea order?

It is so simple... Dark, four creams and two sugars.

What is your favo(u)rite memory from when you were a student?

My favorite memory is the day I met my life-long friend at our residence hall's meet and greet.

What is one thing that would surprise people about you?

I love gardening.

How is your University dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic?

The university's highest priority is the health and safety of our community. We continue to work in accordance with the guidance from our local, state and federal officials. The campus remains open; however, most operations are performed remotely and/or by appointment. It is quiet but our pride and school spirit still exists. This is an extraordinary and new time for us all.
