Phoenix, AZ – April 25, 2024 – NACCU is proud to recognize John Ealy, Director, i-card Programs & Merchant Card Services at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, as the recipient of the NACCU 2024 Distinguished Service Award. Dan Park, CEO with NACCU Pinnacle Sponsor CBORD, presented the award to John at the Awards Luncheon during the NACCU 2024 Annual Conference in Covington, Kentucky on April 17, 2024.

The Distinguished Service Award is presented annually to an individual who has advanced the industry, exhibited entrepreneurial spirit, is an active member of NACCU, is actively involved in R&D, and who is active in the industry through serving on advisory boards and/or actively educating through presentations and sessions.

John Ealy has served NACCU for many years. During his tenure in the NACCU organization, he has served as a moderator, mentor, presenter, and avid Listserv participant. John is extremely knowledgeable about the campus card industry and is always willing to help individuals and organizations grow their card programs. John created an Illinois state carding group which still runs today. John is one of the original founders of the ID office at his campus, and continuously seeks new and creative ways to fund his department, including opening an additional ID office to his purview this coming year. John is described by coworkers as informative, resourceful, tireless, and always willing to help answer questions. John currently serves on the Ambassadors Committee, and formerly served on the Membership Committee, which he chaired. 

NACCU congratulates John Ealy as the recipient of the NACCU 2024 Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his leadership and extensive service and contributions.
